Need to know what to bring, what to wear and what a river safari is anyway? Below you’ll find the answers to these pressing questions, and many more.
If you don’t find the answers you were looking for, contact us and we’ll be happy to help you out.
A | The weather can be unpredictable! On warm sunny days, be sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat or visor. On inclement days, it’s best to bring sunglasses, a windbreaker (we provide “splash tops” that will do the trick!) and a fleece or sweater as it can be cool on the water.
A | We can’t guarantee a totally dry trip, as there might be a few small sprinkles along the way. Feel free to bring along a change of pants/shorts if you’d like. We have a change room at the River Base.
A | Due to our limited capacity, reservations are strongly recommended and can be secured with a Visa or Mastercard. Once a reservation has been secured, Columbia River Safaris requires 48 hours notice of changes or cancellation. No-shows or changes/cancellations within 48 hours will be charged the full value of their safari.
Columbia River Safaris reserves the right to cancel safaris for any reason including weather, river conditions, or equipment. Should a safari be cancelled, guests will have the option of rescheduling their safari or a full refund.
A | Think eagles, not giraffes. Tour boats, not jeeps. One day, not a week. Great wildlife viewing. Great guides and great stories.
A | We run our tours rain or shine. This is an equally great activity when it’s rainy as our boats have canopies and wildlife can be more visible. Dress to be outside.
A | You can bet that wildlife will see you, but occasionally we may not see them. We will do our best to spot them!
A | Our trips are suitable for anyone aged six or older.
A | We have two twin-engine jet boats, the Yoho and the Toby, built with your comfort and safety in mind. They each hold 12 people. These incredible boats bring you down river, and back up river in style!
