Driving directions for Columbia River Safaris & Golden Discovery Safaris

From the East (from Banff, Lake Louise/Golden):

• Follow the Trans Canada Highway (Hwy. 1) westbound to Golden.
• Stay on the Trans Canada (no turning!) and drive 15 minutes further westbound (about 25 kms).
• After the highway divides briefly, the Trans Canada will bend to the left.
• As you begin to cross the bridge over the railway tracks, put your right turn signal on and begin to slow down.
• Make an immediate right hand turn (at our sign) into our driveway.
• If you cross the Columbia River, you just missed us. Make sure to turn around where safe to do so!

From the West (from Revelstoke, Glacier National Park):

• Follow the Trans Canada Highway (Hwy. 1) eastbound to Golden.
• About 45 minutes east of the Roger’s Pass Centre, you will cross a large bridge over the Columbia River. You will need to make a left hand turn just after this bridge, at our sign.
• There is no turning lane, so if there is traffic on your tail, drive past our turn-off and take the next left turn one hundred meters down the road (Donald Road). Turn around there, and you can get back onto the Trans Canada, and make a safe right hand turn into our driveway and on down to the Columbia River Discovery Centre!

From the South (from Radium Hot Springs, Invermere, Cranbrook):

• Take Hwy. 95 northbound to Golden.
• Follow the signs to the Trans Canada Highway (Hwy. 1).
• Take westbound (towards Revelstoke) Hwy. 1
• Stay on the Trans Canada (no turning!) and drive 15 minutes further westbound (about 25 kms).
• After the highway divides briefly, the Trans Canada will bend to the left.
• As you begin to cross the bridge over the railway tracks, put your right turn signal on and begin to slow down.
• Make an immediate right hand turn (at our sign) into our driveway.
